>>COMPETITION RULES
1. Unless exclusions are stipulated, the competition is open to all TFFC Members, TFFC Facebook 'Friends' (ex-players who played for TFFC in the past), listed individuals on the TFFC email circulation list and any other invited guests. Any individual on the Club's membership or registration list who owes the Club money for any reason whatsoever, or who has a poor disciplinary record, or anyone who does not meet the entry criteria specified, will forfeit the right of participation.
2. The format of the competition will be determined round by round depending on the number of participants and notification of format details will be listed on the competition website in advance of the following round. Participants must submit answers as instructed within the time stipulated. Advance notice will be given via e-mail and the TFFC Facebook page regarding the timing of each round. Each round will close at midnight on the date stipulated and replies will not be accepted if submitted any later.
3. One point will be awarded for each correct answer. A tie-break question will be included where applicable. Any participant failing to reply by midnight on the specified deadline day will score zero points. Any reply received which fails to give clear answers to each question, or gives ambiguous answers, or more than one answer to a question, or is deemed to be unsporting or against the spirit of the competition in any way, may be declared null and void in which case the score for that particular participant's round will count as zero points. In the most serious of cases, the participant will be disqualified.
4. Results of each round will be displayed on the competition website within one week, time permitting. In any knock-out situation, if two participants score the same number of points, the tie-break will come into operation. In the Final, if two participants score the same number of points, the higher number of correct answers from all rounds will determine the winner.
5. VERY IMPORTANT: Participants are strictly forbidden to consult any reference book, publication, the internet, Google research, or receive assistance of any kind from another person or any other source whatsoever. If a participant breaks this rule, he is cheating himself along with everyone else; if the organiser has any suspicions whatsoever, the participant will be disqualified from the competition, and removed from Club membership or any TFFC social media page. A member's participation in this Quiz will be taken as a pledge to abide by this rule in FULL and without ANY deviation.
6. Discussion by participants regarding the competition and any matter relating to the competition must be made courteously and respectfully at all times. The Organiser is not obliged to enter into communication either via Facebook or email unless it is deemed necessary to respond to a point of relevance which would affect the competition; this will be at his discretion and either in Facebook private message or email. All queries must be submitted via Facebook private message or via email.
7. All questions regarding interpretation of these competition rules, or of any point not provided for by these rules, shall be referred to the Organiser whose decision shall be final and binding on all concerned.
